Our History

Robert Popolow the originator of AdrenalHigh Athletics has been an athlete since his teens and trainer since his low 20s.
For over 20 years he has trained people of a broad range of ages, abilities & professions.
His goal whether professionally or as a volunteer has always been to help others be healthier, happier, less stressful, & more energetic.
The foundation belief is that being well rounded & able to adapt to any circumstance or environment will assist one in being successful, healthy & more fullfilled in ones life as a whole.

Nutrition What is more important then what you put into your body? Well there is one thing. Air... :-) Otherwise what you put in is what you are. Your body is the most amazing machine in existence. You wouldn't put low quality fuel into a high performance sports car would you? True our bodies adapt and can cope with some low quality foods but even the best genes shouldn't be tested with what they can cope with. Treat your body like it deserves to be treated and you'll be amazed at the quality of life it gives back. Let me give you a full nutritional breakdown of things you consume though a 2 week nutritional analysis. It will be an eye opener for you I'm sure.

Getting Older As we get older many things happen to our bodies. Firstly 1 theory is that the power cells of our body start to die called mitochondria and these exist in every cell of our body so as they die faster and faster so do we. Being healthy through nutrition and exercise is known to increase longetvity and reduce the aging process. Other things that start to go quickly are flexibilty, reaction time, balance and coordination, memory and more. Mind and body training slows down this process increases our longevity, gives us a better quality of life, reduces the possiblity of injury and reduces how long it takes to recover if we get injured.

Quality Vs Efficiencey The ability for your body to be nutritionally is based on a few things.
1. Nutritional Density-Different foods have different nutritional qualities. If you put food into your body dense in nutrition you're in a good starting place.
2. Bio-Absorption-This is the ability for your body to absorb vitamins, minerals, fiber / nutrients. If you have a lot of fat in your stomach the fat lines the wall of your stomach preventing the nutritional value of the foods you consume from being absorbed.
3. Bio Availability-This is the ability of your body to utlitilze the nutrition you consume. If you consume a diversity of foods then the enzymes needed for metabolism / breakdown and absorption of these nutrients will allow you to absorb nutrition better.
4. Bio Efficiency-This is the ability of your body to absorb / utilize the nutrition you put into it in the most efficient, fastest absorptive efficiency.

Martial Arts / Combat Benefits This form of exercise isn't just good for self defences it incorporates more benefits then any other activity. You practice all of the following. Speed, strength, flexibility, endurance, stablizers / isometrics, reaction time, mental control, focus, meditation, breathing improvement, coordination, proprioception, and emotional control. I studied for over 30 years 7 different styles of martial arts for both hand to hand combat and many kids of weapons. All of these have the same benefits and are more fun and diverse then any other sport when you get good at it.

Breathing Oxygen is by far the most important aspect of our lives. We can't live without it for more then a few minutes. Most of us breath inorrectly or not enough. You need to oxygenate every healthy cell of your body and blood as much as possible in order to assure optimal health, greatest intellectual and physical performance and longevity. There are many ways to study and practice this. Some examples are: Yoga. Prana Yama, Asanas, Mantras, Chi Gung, Tai Chi, Singing, Playing musical instruments and many more.
